Chargemaster wins major French contract
- Paris to receive 200 fast-charge points

Chargemaster Plc has won a major contract to supply 200 fast-charge 22kW charging points to a number of key sites around Paris.

These units have been specially developed to use the Type 3 shuttered sockets that are becoming standard in France. The units can fully charge a suitably-equipped electric car in around an hour.

“We are strategically expanding our presence on mainland Europe and this deal is particularly satisfying," commented David Martell, Chief Executive of Chargmaster Plc. "The charging units have been specially developed for the French market and have a number of unique features.  One of Chargemaster’s strengths is its ability to develop products that are tailor made for individual applications.

"The French market is a very important one, with Renault bringing out four great new models over the next nine months. We expect our presence in this market to grow rapidly in 2012.”
